Greensborough is presently the further most residential neighbourhood in the northeast part of Markham. Rural Markham with farm fields for as far as the eye can see and the Rouge National Urban Park form the north and east border of this neighbourhood. Natural barriers have always helped to define this area. The Little Rouge Creek meanders through the northeast part of the neighbourhood while the commuter Go Transit Stouffville railway line cuts through the western edge of the neighbourhood. Greensborough is not yet fully developed with certain pockets still in the development phase. If you are in the market for a new or newer home this is an excellent neighbourhood to check out.
Swan Lake Village situated near 16th Avenue and 9th line is a gated “adult lifestyle” condominium community. It functions as its community even though it is situated within the borders of the Greensborough neighbourhood.
